“The chakra that influences self-knowledge, spirituality, and connection to the divine”

❖ The seventh chakra, Sahasrara, is referred to as the thousand petal lotus chakra.

❖ Of the seven main chakras, this one is highest on the body, located at the crown of the head.

❖ Sahasrara(Sahaswara) is our source of enlightenment and spiritual connection to our higher selves, to every being on the planet, and ultimately to the divine energy that creates everything in the universe.

❖ While many of us have the demands of daily living and the busy minds that accompany these demands, reaching enlightenment may not be as far off as it appears.

❖ Practicing meditation, prayer, or daily silence are disciplines that lead to increased moments of spiritual connection.

❖ Once you’ve established a daily practice of these activities that connect you to universal consciousness, you will see the expansion of spiritual awareness in your outer world.

❖ You will begin to experience unconditional love on a consistent basis.

❖ You will be more compassionate, kind, and forgiving, and show more humility.

❖ Life will become less about you and more about serving others because when you serve others, you are serving yourself.

❖ A closed crown chakra can lead to a lack of inspiration, aimlessness, feelings of loneliness, excessive materialism, lack of spiritual connections, and difficulty meditating.

❖ Physical imbalances may manifest as exhaustion, sensitivity to light and sounds, poor sleep habits, or migraines and tension headaches.

❖ Sahasrara Chakra is the abode of Lord Siva.

❖ This corresponds to Satya Loka. this is situated at the crown of the head.

❖ When Kundalini is united with Lord Siva at the Sahasrara Chakra, the Yogi enjoys the Supreme Bliss, Parama Ananda.

❖ When Kundalini is taken to this centre, the Yogi attains the superconscious state and the Highest Knowledge.

❖ He becomes a Brahmavidvarishtha or a full-blown Jnani.

❖ The word Sahasradala-Padma denotes that this Padma has 1000 petals. That is, one thousand Yoga Nadis emanate from this center.

❖ There are different opinions about the exact number of petals. It is quite sufficient if you know that innumerable Nadis proceed from this center.

❖ As in the case of other Chakras, the vibrations that are made by the Yoga Nadis are represented by the Sanskrit letters.

❖ All the 50 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet are repeated here again and again on all Yoga Nadis.

❖ This is a Sukshma center, the corresponding center in the physical body is in the brain.

❖ The term “Shat-Chakras” refers only to the chief six Chakras, viz., Muladhara, Svadhishthana, Manipura, Anahata, Vishuddha and Ajna.

❖ Above all these we have Sahasrara Chakra, this is the chief of all the Chakras, all the Chakras have their intimate connection with this center.

❖ Hence this is not included as one among the Shat-Chakras, this is situated above all the Chakras.
